Peachleaf Willow is found in Indiana along stream banks and swamps. The bark of the trunk is fissured. Branches are yellow to reddish brown and droop, giving it a “weeping” appearance. Leaves are long, about 2 to 5 inches, and finely serrated. Flowers are long catkins. Its wood is light, soft, weak, and lacking in durability, and therefore of little commercial value.
