Devil's Walkingstick is a small tree to 20 feet in height. Because of its suckering habit, it often forms thickets. Its stout braches are covered with short, stiff thorns. It has clusters of creamy white flowers in summer, which attract tiger swallowtail butterflies, followed by small purple-black fruits, which are eaten by birds. |
